Author's Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson bring us the next chapter in the schools of Dune trilogy. It's been one year since the destruction of the first sisterhood school and now the Reverend Mother had set up a new school on Wallach IX. While the mentat school has started to feel the pressure of the Bulterians at the doorstep. Gilbertis Albams dose what he can to protect his school and the ward of Anna Corinno who has found the brain of the independent robot that has called Gilbertus his son. She vows to protect the robotic brain. While this is going on the leader of the Bulterian moment has ordered that everyone swear a new oath to him. This oath leads to a crossroad for the mentat school. All the while Vor Atreides set out to return to Caladan and his family there. As all this is going on Valya Harkkonnen becomes the leader of the sisterhood and sends her own sister to take vengeance on House Atredies. The universe changes in this book with the loss of Emperor Salvator Corrino and his being pressured into taking control of the spice operations on Dune. I highly recommend this book to all science fiction fans and Dune fans and I'm looking forward to reading the last of the schools trilogy.
