Author Molly Harper brings us the story of Riley Denton-Everett. Riley is from Florida and is on her way to Michigan to she hopes to meet her aunt. But once she gets to Starfall island she finds out that her aunt passed away. She is then taken to Shadow House, a storage area of haunted objects and the ghosts that accompany them. On her way there she meets Edison whom is the local librarian and they make a bad first impression on each other. But as the story goes on Riley finds that she can't leave Starfall because she made a blood pact with the house. She calls her father who is still morning the loss of his wife (her mother) and finds out that the step-children that had abounded them while both she and her mother where there have become to come back to him. Riley though is still coping with everything and she is also learning that she is a witch on top of everything else. A witch that can see the ghosts that co inhabit Shadow House with her. She learns some of the history of Shadow house from the ghost butler and has a last talk with her mother before she passes beyond. This is a great story and what I've written here is only the tip of the iceberg. I highly recommend this book to all Fantasy fans as well as to those people who are dealing with loss. I also recommend this book to Charmed fans too there is something here for everyone. I'm looking forward to the next book in the Starfall series.
