War of the Worlds: Original Radio Broadcast preformed by Orson Wells based on the book by H.G. Wells

In 1938 Orson Wells and the Mercury Radio Theater preformed their version of H.G. Wells, The War of the Worlds. To begin, the broadcast is going along as normal until they get a note saying that a cylinder had crashed in Grover's Field New Jersey. Professor Person is out there and gives his advise saying that due to how close Earth and Mars is that the cylinder came from the red planet. But we don't know for sure until the first Martian walker comes out and fires its heat ray scattering the people. Then the broadcast cuts to voices from the military planing bombing runs on the Martian walkers. They bomb but the Martian walkers blow them out of the sky and begin spewing black smoke all around. (The black smoke is very different from the Red Weed from the book in which they were using to taraform Earth into a Mars like atmosphere to colonize the planet) but the intention is still the same. Professor Person begins walking back to New York and along the way meets a military officer who was the last of his battalion and who came up with a plan to keep the human species going by moving underground. Professor Person then comes back to the heart of New York City and beings to find dead Martians around due to the fact that they couldn't survive in our atmosphere because of the bacteria that we have grown immune to. If you've watched either version of the film or if you've read the book that this radio broadcast was based on then I highly suggest picking this version up.
