Author S.R. Mallery brings us the short tale set during world war II about a family that lets in to their home which was commandeered by the California defense department. After the attack on Perl Harbor the main land was hurrying to make sure that it wouldn't happen again. The Map Room of the Haddington estate was where a young woman named Cynthia meet a man named Thomas and fell in love with him. As they grew close and he didn't come to bed as early as she wanted him to she began to stalk him. She followed him to a hotel where she saw him meet with several people but she takes it to the extreme and forces her parents to take her to a doctor who dose something that should only be used in the most extreme cases. Then the story jumps to 40 years later in 1985 and there we see the truth. This is a great short story and I highly recommend it to all.
