Author J.C. Fields brings us the second book in the Michael Wolfe Saga with the Last Insurgent. News of a terrorist attack on the president reaches Michael Wolfe after other news of an ex IRA agent firing at a government meeting and killing some of them. That EX IRA agent works for the insurgents in the middle east a hot bead that every western country on the planet has tried to control for centuries, But Michael Wolfe is asked to be off the books on the operation to take that IRA agent down. This adventure takes him face to face with that agent as well as putting Wolfe's wife in the crosshiars too. But she is an ex agent herself and can take care of herself while her husband risks his life for the US. This is a great book and it reminds me of the Jack Ryan novels from Tom Clancy, I highly recommend this book in any from to all espionage fans.
