Author M.D. Cooper brings us the final tale in her Empire trilogy with By the Empress's Command. The story starts off with Diana installing one of her lords as a prime mister of sorts for one of the quadrants of the empire. As this is going on events are set into motion that makes Petra want to train Diana to be more formidable. Diana also shows Petra her finished scorpion attachment that has it's own builtin NSAI which will work with Diana's commands. Petra then decides that it's time to train Diana in field combat as to not be the only one to be rescued every time. Diana goes for it knowing that it will allow the two to spend time together. Petra takes Diana to a training planet within her empire and puts her through several mock battles with her guards switching sides every time in order to better equipped at protecting the Empress. But little did they know that someone from Diana's past is looking at taking out the Empress and installing himself as Emperor. This is a good last book to this trilogy but it dose leave you wanting more. I highly recommend this book to all science fiction fans.
