The Cthulhu Casebooks: Sherlock Holmes and the Shadwell Shadows by James Lovegrove

Writer: Joe PranaitisJoe Pranaitis

Author Janes Lovegrove brings us beginning of the Cthulhu Casebooks of Sherlock Holmes. Doctor Watson and his first meeting with the great detective goes differently than what Conan Doyle had written. First Doctor Watson is at a club playing a round of cards when he first meets the detective and they strike up a good roper. This leads Holmes to bring Watson to 221 B. Baker St. Where they then continue the case that Sherlock had been working on before and that Watson had stumbled into. Little do they know that later on Holmes would have a spiritual voyage and see the elder gods and the chieftain that had drawn them towards Earth. And behind the man Gong Fen Shew whom Holmes had been investigating with the White Chaple murders (yes there are shades of Jack the ripper in this tale). I won't give away the endings but if you like Sherlock Holmes, you'll enjoy this tale and I'm looking forward to either reading or listing to the next book in the series.
