Author Jennifer Estep brings us a new take on the beauty and the beast tale with this short story. The story opens with Lady Mottern having a dinner with one of the villagers that had come to the castle grounds to pick flowers for his betrothed. She sees that he thinks that she is going to eat him but just shews him away. She then hears that a gang of robbers and murders are heading for the village. Once she hears this she get's ready to confront them but as she dose she tells the wizard who cursed her family line (only the women of the family line) that she is happy being a beast. She then goes and goes toe to toe with the leader of the gang. This is a great short story and one that I highly recommend for Fantasy fans.
