Author Susan Wright brings us a prequel to the Deep Space Nine episode Crossover. In the mirror universe (original not Discovery) we are introduced to Agent Seven of Corps Nine of the Obsidian Order as she infiltrates the the Duras encampment on Kitmor where in the main timeline the accords where signed in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. As soon as she killed him Regent Worf vowed that his soul would go from Gethor (Klingon hell to their version of heaven) As this is going on Intendent Kira of Bajor makes her move to become Overseer of the fallen Terran Empire. One of the ripple effects of Kira becoming the Alliance Overseer is that Deanna Troi who had a deal with the Grand Nagus had that deal revoked and put out a contract on Kira. That contract was taken up by Seven of Nine who worked her way into Kira's inner circle. This is a great look into the original Mirror Universe and I'm looking forward to rereading book Two. I highly recommend this book to all Star Trek and science fiction fans.
