Author A.C. Turner brings us the life story of one Shamus Patrick O'Malley. Shamus or Gunny as he's mostly called in the book has had a hard life. He was the son and grandson of plant workers who back in the 1950's had been working for the company and his grandfather had liked that even to the point that he went and spied on his son while he was out a lovers lain. Soon after Shamus was born and he ended up living with his grandfather after his parents where killed in a car crash. After high school Shamus joined the Marines and went to Vietnam. There he had gotten his promotion to Gunnery sergeant which is where the Gunny comes from. But he had also lost his platoon too. Years later he ended up being the military advisor for a show that was military light. He also ended up with his own show and a Bar called Gunny's and someone who loved him deeply. But his last act of bravery came when he went to help his friend Q from Surya and his buddy Buzz. I leave it there but I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in the armed forces.
