Author Linda Watkins brings us the tale of two women and their dog that brought their friendship into being. Mindy Sue is a house wife and one who is being abused by her husband to the point where one afternoon he goes at her so hard he nearly kills her. But her dog Zoey comes to the rescue and stops her husband from killing her. This gives Mindy Sue time to get into her car and head for the hospital. While this is going on Sarah sees her husband and son off on a day boat trip but a storm comes through and capsizes the boat. This leaves Sarah is pain. During the time that Sarah is a shell of herself she sees Zoey on the news and calls and asks to adopt her. Zoey is able to bring life back into Sarah's holo life. Two years later she meets Mindy Sue but that is will I will leave it and I highly recommend this novella for everyone.
