Author Steve Alten brings us the fifth novel in the Meg series with Nightstalkers. Picking up six months after the death of his girlfriend David Taylor, son of Jonas Taylor the man that found the Meg's in the first book. He has joined the expedition to take down the Liopleuridon. While this is going on Jonas is tracking the two Megs that escaped the Tanaka Institute at the end of the last Meg book Hell's Aquarium. David heads to Dubai where the crown price has offered to put him on a reality show but he has to bring the Lio back along with the other monsters from the deep that had escaped a hidden lake below the sea. The third thing that came into play is the main character from The Lock and Vostok books and his telling Jonas of the alternate reality that he had witnessed the death of David. This is a great book and it has an explosive ending that will make you want to pick up the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book to all Meg fans and Kaiju fans too.
