Author Mike Shepherd brings us a short tale of Admiral Kris Longknife and the day that her assistant a Lieutenant Longknife (Kris's cousin) go over the annual budget for her fleet. A lot has happened with Kris and she is still getting praised for saving Woodhaven from the one of the rival governments. Lieutenant Longknife thought a head and ordered the budget to be put on six data pads but it ended up being put on three giving Kris two to destroy. But she changes that and has her personal AI project the pages of the budget on the wall of her office. This is a light short story and it's a good peak into Kris's mind as she even bets on when she would want to go back to space duty. I highly recommend this short for any Kris Longknife fan.
