Author Niki Livingston brings us the opening to her series Infernal Crystals. In a dark dystopian future Gwen and her sister fight to keep their family alive. Yes Gwen works for the government of that era but she and her sister are two different people. Fawn her sister ran in her shifter form after they put up a barrier to keep vampires in. Fawn then finds that she has made a new friend in a couple of witches that are able to keep the ruling Elvies from finding out how powerful they really are. As this takes place Gwen has a man in black coming to look for her. And I won't give away the cliffhanger but I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to all Fantasy fans.
