Author Ivy Hearne brings is the last book of the first year for Kacie at the Hunters' Academy. The Academy's new headmaster now knows that the darkness that Kacie has sensed is growing near and has prepared by calling all the alumni hunters back to the school. While he is doing that Kacie and her hunting partners and friends decide that they would have their own backup plan. Soon the battle starts and the one wizard that is being used by the darkness stands in front of Kacie as she uses her powers to fight him. This is a great end to the first part of this series and I am looking forward to both the year 2 books and the novella that takes place in between. I highly recommend this series to all Fantasy fans.
