Author Ivy Hearne brings us the next chapter in Kacie's traning at the Hunter's Academy with Winter Break. Kacie is staying at the Hunter's Academy over the winter due to the fact that both her and that the Academy had told her parents that she was in a distant country while really being in Colorado. A few nights before Christmas she goes into town to buy gifts to send home but runs into an Imp that has been taking control of children. She goes back to the Academy where she tells the headmistress what she saw but she isn't believed. With that she decides that she just can't let it go especially after the Imp follows her back to her dorm and tries to take control of her. This is a great novella and one that I would recommend for fantasy fans. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment and the rest of the series.
