Author Jacqueline Rayner brings us another adventure with the Doctor, Amy, and Rory. The TARDIS lands in Egypt in in the middle of an archaeology expedition that is on the search for more knowledge from ancient times. On their first night Rory knocks over a tea cup onto one of the ancient scrolls and the next day their in the middle of a forest of purple weeds that they used to write on. But thing continue to go down hill as one of the scrolls tells the Doctor that he has to travel back to ancient Egypt to find the cause of the forest in the time that the TARDIS first landed. Amy goes with him while Rory stays behind to make sure that archaeologists and their workers stay safe. Once back in ancient Egypt The Doctor finds out that there has been a murder of the local mayor leading them both to uncover why he was killed and who or what brought the planets to that point in time. This is a good short Doctor Who novel and I highly recommend it for 11th Doctor fans.
