Authors Margo Bond Collins and Ivy Hearne bring us the tale of Izzy Kirk a new student to the Hunters' Academy. Izzy is a Coywolf who has had a very hard time in her mountain home town. She shifts and doesn't remember what happened while she was in her other form and to top things off on her first day at the Academy she meets a boy Bash whom she kisses. Bash then brings up that shifters sometimes know by just a kiss who their fated mates are. Izzy overhears Bash talk to another shifter about her and decides that she is going to go home in order to remove that part of her. This is a great fantasy novella and it dose take place in between the last Hunters' Academy book and the beginning of Kacie's second year. I highly recommend this series to all Fantasy fans.
