Author Howard Berenbon brings us the tale of a few scientists that have created through hologram research a way to travel through time. Now Mark, Paul, Berry, Susan they have taken their Port back to 1280 BCE and have witnessed the Jews begins thrown out into the desert. They have also witnessed an alien contact back then that promoted them to return to investigate further. As they did both Mark and Berry where meet by some of the last of a sect of humanity that had been thought long gone by that time and they made first contact. But the aliens even though they came across as peaceful where anything but. It took a rescue mission to the moon to save them. But after they returned home they had a thought about exploring the solar system and started with Mars. There they meet the last of the Martians and are welcomed with open arms and even are invited back. But as this is going on a Russian student calls in to Moscow. They set up a kidnapping but I won't spoil the end but I do highly recommend this book to all time-travel fans.
