Author Randall N. Bills brings us the opening tale in the Mercenary tales trilogy. Clan Wolf is looking to invade the inner sphere worlds but they know that they needed a strike force to go in first. They higher the Illician Lancers for the job. Even though the Khan of the clan dons't want anyone to know that they've taken on Mercs for the job. Clan Wolf dose agree to the terms that the Merc's have set down and they prepare for the invasion. This is a great short novella and I highly recommend it to all mech fans.
