Author Tim Lebbon brings us back to the Alien universe with his book and this pod cast of Alien: Out of the Shadows. For the first of a trilogy set between Alien and Aliens it definitely os worthy of being in the universe that sprung from the mind of Dan O'Bannon and would've made a great film. Everything in the story worked from Ripley walking up 37 years after the distraction of the Nostromo on the mining ship the Marian above LV 178. To the AI that was Ash controlling the shuttle that she had docked in to then infiltrating the computers aboard the Marian. The trip down to LV 178 took Ripley and the Marian crew to get power supplies for her shuttle but they ran into the Xenomophs there. This is a great book and I highly recommend both the book and the podcast that can be found on Amazon. For an Alien fan this is definitely worth it.
