Author Jonathan G. Meyer brings us the continuation of the Al Clark story with Avalon. It's been five years since the colonists of the starship Excalibur made planet fall on to their new home. And everything may start out calm but the Riktor's are getting more aggressive, one whom calls himself Terror wants the valley where the little town of Camelot has been settled and he plans on using the devil dogs and the winged ones to take what he wants. While this is going on Al's internal power supply is running low and will need to be changed if he is to go on living and being a husband and stepfather to Elizabeth and Chris and a grandfather to Chirs's son. One day while they are out scouting and killing Riktors Al, Chris and the Captain (who is also the town major now) find a badge barred but Al picks it up and their lives change. This is a great book and I won't give away what happens but I highly recommend it to all science fiction fans. And I am looking forward to reading the next two books in the series.
