Author Apryl Baker brings us the opening book in the Ghost Files series and introduces us to Mattie Hathaway. A girl who can see ghosts and help them cross over to the other side. We first meet Mattie as she is getting ready for a party and we see that she is able to see ghosts from that moment on because one of them is standing behind her in her bathroom. While at the party she sees the ghost of her foster sister whom she knew was supposed to have been in bed. She races back to her foster house to find out that she's gone and that her foster mother didn't know anything about it. Everything else starts happening from there to the first appearance of Mirror boy who tries to harm her to the fact that the police have given up trying to locate her foster sister. But one police officer dose stay by her side even though he doesn't believe that she can see ghosts. I won't give away the ending but this is a great book and one that I highly recommend.
