Author M.D. Cooper brings us a tale of a group of women from the 82nd century who come into the Sol system to plunder what they can from an abandoned lab on Luna (The moon) and what they find is a warp drive, which is similar to the current spore dive aboard the Discovery (Star Trek reboot) and as they are being chased by hostiles they activate the warp drive which ten takes them back through time to the 16th century where they meet Quinn who is a woman hiding among the crew of Grace O'Malley. The crew who stole the warp dive then take Quinn aboard their starship the Elizabeth and mend her after she had been run through but the action doesn't stop there as Quinn asks for their help in rescuing her long lost friend and one of who she made a packed with as a kid. I highly recommend this novella to anyone who likes both science fiction and high seas adventure because it has both.
