Steampunk Alice is a different kinda of take on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and it is done beautifully with the main part being set in an alternate 1882 and everything that you could imagine about the Steampunk era to be. The title character of Alice Straight works at Acme Cosmetics and lives a boring life until she meets a new worker Peter White who was born on the other side but decided to move to this universe and world but upon meeting Alice he deiced to bring her across to the other universe were she learned something new about herself as well as grew out of her shell. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes the original tale and for those who like a parallel universe/time travel adventure.
